We are pleased to announce that the KHEA Capacity Building Workshop is currently taking place in Nairobi, bringing together KHEA partners from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Madagascar for two impactful days—December 1st and 2nd, 2025.
This week also marks a significant milestone with the official launch of KHEA Phase III, scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd.
During the workshop, participants will explore community-based agroecological practices, including organic mushroom production—an inspiring example of how sustainable agriculture is transforming livelihoods across the region.
Overall Objective:
  • To strengthen regional collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and build technical capacity to scale organic agriculture and agroecology across Eastern Africa.
Expected Outcomes:
  1. Enhanced partner capacity to generate and apply agroecological knowledge
  2. Improved coordination and synergy across KHEA country networks
  3. Development of concrete action plans to promote organic and climate-resilient farming practices under Phase III
